Rattling Stick’s Pete Riski’s latest film is for global word game, Alias. The film was shot in his native Finland - also where the game originates from -through Director’s Guild Helsinki and adhered to the regions loosened Covid-19 restrictions. Shot in early June, the film is a nod to family lockdown pastimes and what better time to promote a fun, family game. In the film, a man prepares for his ‘Alias’ session by rehearsing with strangers across the city.
Director’s Guild Helsinki EP, Juha-Matti Nieminen comments: ‘What could be a better time to promote a board game than during the weird times of lockdown. Even though Finland have become production wise 99% like normal, this film was shot in beginning of June 2020, whilst everybody was still in the mood for staying home. So why not stay at home and play with your pals!"
The film displays Riski’s usual combination of clever casting, original and elevating composition and of course rich cinematography and grade.
