OVO has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi to engage customers in its net zero journey. The partnership will help customers decarbonise their homes and deliver on the brand’s Plan Zero strategy to achieve net zero carbon by 2035.
Saatchi & Saatchi will start immediately to develop and launch new creative work this summer for OVO, the UK’s leading green energy company, serving four million customers.
Alice Tendler, director of marketing and brand, OVO Energy commented, “We're proud to get the OVO brand out into the world and we needed a partner to match our passion for our mission and game-changing products and services. Saatchi & Saatchi brought that in spades, showing a real desire to get under the skin of our business, plus determination to bring cultural relevance and insight from the world of our customers and the nation at large.
“OVO has always been at the forefront of defining what green energy looks like and we now have the scale to drive meaningful change by bringing 4 million customers with us on the journey to decarbonisation.
“We can’t wait to kick-start that through powerful communications with such a strong, collaborative agency partner by our side.”
Franki Goodwin, chief creative officer, Saatchi & Saatchi commented, “This pitch was such a positive process to be a part of because it felt genuinely collaborative from the off. I’m so excited to be working with a truly modern energy company with a brilliant purpose and team at the heart of the business. As Britain builds a new chapter, we need a better energy system for everyone and we can’t wait to get going.”
