One Green Bean Expands Travel, Tourism and Transport Offer

One Green Bean London has significantly expanded its expertise and capability in travel, tourism and transport with three high-profile hires, strengthening its position to provide brands and organisations with industry-leading strategy and campaigns, as the world re-opens up post pandemic.

Sarah Longbottom joins in the role of Business Director, to lead a satellite team of six based in Doha, where she will be based full-time. The team handles the global PR remit for Qatar Tourism as the country prepares to host the FIFA World Cup 2022 and position itself as one of the Middle East’s top holiday destinations.

Longbottom brings more than 20 years of experience, including a decade spent as a journalist and editor for award-winning travel publications, Travel Weekly and TTG, following which she held senior roles in several specialist travel and aviation agencies. Her experience includes The Jamaica Tourist Board, Cessna Aircraft, South African Tourism, IHG and London City Airport.

Prior to joining One Green Bean, Longbottom spent the last five years developing a deep understanding of the public, commercial and political drivers associated with travel and tourism in the Middle East, delivering high-level consultancy and campaigns in both Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

Sarah Barnett also joins in the role of Business Director and will be based in the UK to lead the European remit for Qatar Tourism and the UK remit for Visit Jersey. Barnett brings nearly 20 years of experience and has promoted a wide range of destinations throughout her career, spanning America, Japan, Tahiti, Slovenia, Western Australia, Montenegro and Morocco. Barnett has also held high profile in-house roles, as the Communications Director for Brand USA and prior to that Regional PR Manager for Tourism Australia for six years. Her transport experience includes Air Malta and SriLankan Airlines.

Grace Verdon has joined in the role Senior Account Manager, bolstering project management and specialist media relations capability across consumer and trade PR. Verdon’s tourism and transport experience includes Visit California, Aspen Snowmass and Lufthansa Group.

One Green Bean London’s travel, tourism and transport clients include Qatar Tourism, Visit Jersey, Hotels.com, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays. The agency has also delivered projects for Eurostar, Heathrow Airport and Heathrow Express.
