Nuns Start a Brutal Fight Club in DJ Carnage's Promo for ‘Holy Moly’
Guatemalan-American record producer and DJ Carnage (also known as El Diablo) has debuted his third single of the year entitled ‘Holy Moly.’ Blending the religious connotations of a church organ with the heavy bass of EDM, the single releases alongside an appropriately unusual music video from Stink Films director Eoin Glaister.
Beginning with a scene-setting title card, the promo explains “Having witnessed the brutal murder of her mother, a young girl finds her way to an ancient nunnery” finishing with “Dark secrets lie within.”
What follows is three and a half minutes of humour, violence, horror and nudity as we flash forward to the present-day nunnery where a group of young nuns have formed what appears to be an underground fight club. The highly produced film features snipers, nuns punched (repeatedly) in the face, a burning car, and a whole load of knives. Ending with someone about to get beaten to death with a large cross, Eoin Glaister’s short is a fascinating promo for the EDM DJ.
