Nine Projects Receive Finalist Status from The Immortal Awards US Jury Day

The Immortal Awards continued this year’s North American judging sessions in New York, with 9 projects making it through as Finalists after the US jury day, held in partnership with JSM Music.

The shortlist saw the 36 highest-scoring projects from the initial online round of judging make it through to the in-person day, which was judged by a US -based jury on Wednesday 2nd November.

Following the Canadian jury day earlier in the week, it was the turn of the US jurors to meet in person to decide which projects, if any, were to go through to the regional North American round of judging as US Finalists.

At the end of an afternoon packed full of tough debate, nine projects were given the green light to qualify for the next round, representing the US on the regional stage. 

The Immortal Awards 2022 US Finalists are:

Miller Light - Beer Drops (submitted by DDB Chicago)


PERIOD., Free the Period, No More Secrets, The Flow Initiative, Ignite - Loopholes (submitted by 72andSunny NY)


Sandy Hook Promise - Teenage Dream (submitted by BBDO New York and SMUGGLER)

The projects joined the 11 Finalists from the Canadian jury day at the North American round of judging on Friday 4th November. 

The best work from North America will then qualify for the final, global round of judging which will take place on December 1st and see the Finalists from every region compete for an Immortal Award or Commendation status.

Those on this year’s US jury were: Chuck McBride (founder and chief creative officer, Cutwater), David Rolfe (global head of production, WPP & Hogarth), Davud Karbassioun (president, Pulse Films), Jaz Rongokea (head of production, The Mill New York), Jeff Fiorello (executive producer, JSM Music), Laura Fegley (chief creative officer, BBDO Minneapolis), Lora Schulson (North American head of production, 72andSunny), Matthew Wood (partner and editor, Whitehouse Post) and Meg Farquhar (EVP executive creative director, DDB Chicago).
