Toddler powdered nutritional supplement and cereal brand launch a resource to help preserve traditions for new Canadians across generations

As newcomer Canadians undertake two life journeys - from starting a family to bridging the gap between two cultures - they’re combining excitement, hope, and anticipation for new beginnings.

In fact, the brands recently commissioned a survey which found 70% of newcomers have childhood memories of eating NIDO or Cerelac. Understanding the meaningful responsibility of this finding, the brands set out to support the 94% of newcomers who want to preserve their traditions in Canada, knowing that over two thirds of them aren’t sure how to do it.

Nourished by these insights, NIDO and Cerelac have developed a powerful campaign for new Canadians. ‘The Living Traditions Library’ is a resource to help preserve traditions for new Canadians across generations. From handwritten recipes to videos of family celebrations, submissions posted here will be kept accessible for over 25 years, so no tradition is lost for the generations to come. Plus Canadians who share their traditions from June 5th - July 3rd, 2024 will have the chance to win a supply of NIDO and Cerelac products to stock their shelves, as well as one Grand Prize of $2,000. There are also three Secondary Prizes of $1,000 to support their family’s journey in Canada!

NIDO is a toddler powdered nutritional supplement brand with Calcium and Vitamin D to help build strong bones and teeth, plus Magnesium supporting normal muscle function. With Probiotic B lactis, Vitamin A, and Zinc, NIDO also helps support the normal function of the immune system. The product has DHA+ and no added sucrose.

Cerelac instant cereals are made with carefully selected grains, and offer an excellent source of iron and essential nutrients.

The products are hugely popular in markets across Asia, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Philippines, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.

Canadians are encouraged to follow @nidocanada and @cerelaccanada, and visit here to add their entry, to be preserved for decades to come.
