Ahead of Cannes Lions, the Spanish Association of Advertising Producers takes us through a snapshot of the company

For our company snapshot piece, we want to create a profile that pinpoints exactly what makes your company unique right now in 2024. We want to know about the culture and the competitive edge that you bring as well as finding out how the company has evolved over the past couple of years as new tech and changes in the market have disrupted the industry.

Q> What is your Company Name?

Spanish Association of Advertising Producers (APCP)

Q> What is your company website?

https://apcp.es/

Q> What is it your Company Does?

The Spanish Association of Advertising Producers (APCP) brings together the main advertising production companies in the country, both those that shoot nationally and service, defending the economic and social interests of the sector and the economic and social interests of its members within the global framework of market needs.

Q> Give us your elevator pitch:

We maintain active communication with the different agents in the sector: associations, clients, advertising agencies, production companies, artists, technicians and supply companies in the national and international audio visual industry, as well as with the corresponding official bodies.

The APCP members have recognised professional experience in the creation of films for advertising, in any type of format (animation, VFX, branded content, documentaries, TikTok and YouTube, among others).

We are committed to sustainability in shooting, young talent, diversity, inclusion and gender equality.

Q> Who will be on the LBB Beach representing your company?

Besides the APCP team (Adriana Piquet, APCP general manager; Marina Carazo, communications department) we will be a great group of people.

This sponsorship is possible thanks to the collaboration of different companies in the sector, which will be present:

Q> Who are you hoping to meet on LBB Beach? Individuals and/or company roles, companies, or anyone else?

We want to connect with the international audio visual production family, that’s who we are at APCP: creative directors, advertisers, agency producers, producers, film directors, location managers, partner companies, specialised media… Whether individuals or companies.

In general, we are looking for people who can inspire us.

Q> Are you hosting any events on LBB Beach, or elsewhere in Cannes during the week?

Not in this edition. APCP members do organise events for their companies, Fight Films at the LBB beach, TF/7 organises its party, among others.

Q> What are you most looking forward to about Cannes in 2024?

Expand the network of international contacts, strengthen the ones we have and present the Ibero-American network at SUMMIT.

Q> What do you think will be the hottest topics this year on the Croisette?

AI, new technologies, how to deal with the growth of in-house production companies as opposed to independent production companies and boosting our talent.

Q> What are your top tips for newbies going to Cannes, the Lions, and the LBB Beach for the first time?

Don't miss the SUMMIT, be at as many events as possible and enjoy Lions.

Q> What is your favourite non-work activity in Cannes?

Early morning yoga on the beach, walks along the coast, sunbathing.

Q> Lastly, what is your packing essential for the week at Cannes Lions?

Sun cream, flip flops and sunglasses of course.
