M&C Saatchi executive creative director Ben Welsh is judging a film comp like no other.
The Knog No Ordinary Night Film Contest is an online comp and 24-hour global film festival championing nocturnal adventures.
The comp’s format is completely unique in that the winning films screen around the world in one night across seven countries – Melbourne, Manila, Munich, Paris, London, San Fran, Rio are all hosting viewing parties over the 24 hours of 6 June.
It’s a global night film comp whose finale is truly a global night of film.
With over US $15,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, cycle accessories supremeos Knog are on the hunt for the best night-time adventure video-makers.
Whether it’s bike, skateboard, surf or dive, Knog want to see it.
Although not a mandatory, entrants are encouraged to use action cams plus a Knog light – whether as one of their video lights or even a bike light.
Knog are all about letting people flex their creative muscle when it comes to night-time film making.
Welsh is joined on the judging panel by Rolling Stone editor Mat Cotye and Knog CEO Hugo Davidson.
“Deciding to run a film comp celebrating those heroes of the night, those guys who are out there smashing the mould and creating awe-inspiring action videos in the dark seemed like an absolute no-brainer to us,” Davidson said.
“And having just released the [qudos] action light for GoPro this is a perfect opportunity to do something to celebrate.”
The No Ordinary Night film contest runs from the 2nd to 24th of May 2015 with the global film festival taking place on 6th June 2015.
