M&C Saatchi continues on its change agenda in line with the new strategy presented in January.
The group is strengthening its central firepower to provide greater focus on global revenue with the creation of a new role - group strategy director. Tim Duffy, formerly UK group chairman, will be stepping into this role.
Tim Duffy has been with M&C Saatchi from day one, working with many clients both in the UK and internationally.
Richard Thompson will succeed Tim as UK group chairman. He has a background in Private Equity and joined M&C Saatchi in 2013 when the company acquired the talent business, Merlin. He will continue to be chairman of M&C Saatchi Talent, where he has successfully acquired other talent agencies in Red Hare & Grey Whippet to broaden the offering into the Influencer space. Richard is also chairman of Surrey County Cricket Club (The Oval) and chairs Sport United Against Dementia.
Moray MacLennan, CEO of M&C Saatchi comments: “Tim is a brilliant thinker. Richard Thompson is a brilliant leader. We continue on our mission to deliver Meaningful Change for clients, our people, and the world.”
Richard Thompson, UK group chairman adds: “The M&C Saatchi Group is a unique collection of world class companies that span the entire communications landscape. They are exceptional apart and when combined can be even more powerful in delivering Meaningful Change for existing and new clients. I look forward to helping deliver our compelling proposition, with our outstanding talent.”
Tim Duffy, group strategy director Worldwide adds: “I look forward to moving into a global role as our new strategy accelerates over the coming years.”
