Mac Hedges Joins Picture North as Executive Producer

Picture North, the Los Angeles and Chicago-based creative production company and post house, bolsters its strong run by adding Mac Hedges as executive producer. Formerly the executive director at Stept Studios, Mac will be spearheading Picture North’s talent and new business search, developing agency and direct-to-brand leads, and expanding its global reach. 

"Mac's primary focus will be on sales and growth, adding even more fuel to the fire during a record-breaking period for the company," founder and executive producer Martin Rodahl said. “We're excited about our continued expansion in Los Angeles. Having him on the ground there will provide a new level of stability and accessibility for existing and future clients.” 

Mac began his career in Milwaukee, WI, working on documentaries and commercials. He was eventually pulled to Los Angeles, CA, where he worked his way up from the bottom with Known (formerly Stun Creative) as their director of production. 

Mac then branched out as a contracted brand project director and executive producer on the client and agency side, strengthening his understanding of their needs and internal challenges. 

He eventually returned to the production side with Stept Studios as their head of production and later executive director, taking the company from a small team to an industry powerhouse. For Stept's clients, Mac always deeply understood their needs, built strong relationships, and assembled the perfect team for each project that forged the path to exceptional final products.

Since its founding in Chicago in 2008, Picture North has solidified its presence in Los Angeles and beyond. With offices equipped with creative and post-production capabilities, Hedges will help further cement Picture North’s culture and offerings on the West Coast.
