Stereo Creative has appointed Luca De Laurentiis as its new head of production for North America. Based in Los Angeles, Luca joins a rapidly expanding US team that’s already producing work for brands like Ripple, OpenDoor, and OpenTable.
Raised in Southern California with roots in Madrid and Rome, Luca grew up on film sets and storytelling. But rather than follow the family legacy into traditional film, Luca carved out a space in the creative commercial world, becoming a force in integrated production and branded content.
After earning his degree from film school, he dove headfirst into production, shooting, editing, and assisting on features before joining UNIT9 in 2016, where he helped launch and run the company’s North American offices. Luca has since held leadership roles at VTpro Design (now part of Buck) and Apple’s internal creative services department, building a reputation for hands-on, cross-disciplinary production rooted in craft and experimentation.
“I really like the idea of building something,” Luca says of joining Stereo. “There’s a wide-open space here where we can deliver creatively and operationally for clients across categories, and for culture at large.”
Beyond the office, he's a hands-on dad to two young kids, a tennis enthusiast, and a self-proclaimed cooking nerd who happily swapped Instagram for the New York Times Cooking app - and is always just one ask away from grabbing an espresso.
As Stereo continues to scale in the US, Luca’s mix of global perspective, technological fluency, and creative instinct makes him a uniquely suited leader to help the agency realise its next chapter.
