Lloyds Bank Business has launched a new wave of spots and digital campaign work, directed and photographed by Finn Beales out of Laird and Good Company, as part of their ‘Good Things’ campaign from adamandeveDDB.
The campaign features select British businesses who are preserving their industries despite the negatives surrounding the present economic climate. Good news stories, such as that of Colwith Farm Distillery, provide inspiring positive stories happening in business.
This burst continues to embrace the themes of innovation, productivity and sustainability across a variety of sectors.
Director Finn Beales commented, “I often shoot with this Robert Capa quote in mind: 'If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough.' Images shot close to subjects often create a more intriguing and intimate photograph, and we used these close-up action windows as building blocks or visual clues to help enrich the narrative and orientate the audience, keeping them interested and connected. We pushed this further for the motion content with GoPros, body cams, probe lenses and custom-built rigs to drop the viewer into places they wouldn't usually have access to - genuine, unexpected and spontaneous.
These ideas are the scroll stoppers, the second and third lookers, something that gets better with each repeat viewing. I see this campaign being all these things and more - lifting the lid on a country at work, 24 hours in the life of...' the mechanics, the interactions, and those incidental behind-the-scenes moments everyone can relate to.”
Finn Beales is an award-winning travel, lifestyle and commercial director/ photographer represented by global production company and talent agency, Laird and Good Company.
