The director duo Lionel Goldstein, consisting of Koen Mortier and Joe Vanhoutteghem, has once again received international recognition. Their film 'The Robbery' for Axe, previously awarded gold at the Cannes Lions, has now won two golds at the Ciclope Festival in Berlin. The awards were given in the categories Direction and Casting. In addition, a silver award was also presented in the Branded Comedy category.
In 'The Robbery,' a young woman attempts to rob a roadside diner but eventually gets distracted by the smell of the clumsy waiter, leading to an unexpected twist. Thanks to the strong performances by the carefully selected cast, directed by Lionel Goldstein, the absurd and humorous situation was convincingly portrayed. This earned the duo gold in both casting and direction.
