The independent agency is a Gold Standard winner after four consecutive years on the list

LG2 has been recognised for its industry-leading performance, its global business practices, and its sustained growth by receiving the prestigious 2024 Canada’s Best Managed Companies award.

Celebrating over 30 years, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program awards excellence in private Canadian-owned companies with revenues of $50 million or greater. To attain the designation, companies are evaluated on their leadership in the areas of strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities, and innovation, governance and financial performance. LG2 won its initial Best Managed award in 2021 and has successfully retained its status since, becoming a Gold Standard winner in 2024.

“LG2’s independent model enables us not only to create the best impact for our clients, but also to have the best impact possible on our community. It’s a priority to all of the partners that we put as much creative effort into the company we are building, as we do into the work we create. I’m incredibly proud that our efforts so far have been recognised among the best in Canada, and I’m looking forward to how we will keep raising our own bar.” said Jeremy Gayton, partner, president - Toronto, LG2.

Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognising innovative and world-class businesses. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent evaluation process.

Applicants are evaluated by an independent panel of judges with representation from program sponsors and special guests. The 2024 cohort of Best Managed companies share common themes such as having a people-centric culture, targeting effective ESG strategies, and accelerating operational digitisation.

“Creating a positive impact is part of LG2’s DNA. Our commitments to an independent business model, diversity, equity, and inclusion, valuing women's leadership, social causes, and sustainability, are all part of how we bring that mission to life. To put our promise on a firmer footing, we developed a deliberate, comprehensive, and measurable impact strategy. External reviews by organisations like Best Managed Companies help us understand how much progress we have made, and also motivate us to keep growing.” said Kate Gouron, senior director, impact and communications, LG2.

LG2 in particular was recognised for its ambitious approach to ESG factors. In response to its global impact, 2023 saw the launch of new policies, workshops and committees dedicated to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and improved working practices including English and French language inclusive writing guidelines. Today, women represent 57% of the agency’s leadership and 64% of their employee base with a more robust demographic reporting being implemented in 2024. To improve its green footprint, LG2 moved its Montreal office into a LEED certified building in 2021 using 100% EcoLogo certified renewable energy, and hired external experts to accurately measure and reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.

“Over the past year, companies such as LG2 have continually adapted and successfully responded to challenges, seized new opportunities, and leveraged industry leading competencies to maximise their investments and drive sustainable growth. By demonstrating an increased focus on environmental, social, and governance themes, these winners have set the standard of excellence for Canada’s business ecosystem.” said Lorrie King, partner, global best managed companies leader and co-leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.
