When the LBB & Friends Beach launched in 2010, the Cannes Lions landscape was pretty different. “We saw the need for a hub for our members. A place where they would be able to easily find all the people they needed to meet down in Cannes, in one place,” says LBB co-Founder Sarah Cooper.
Flash forward to 2023 and the only thing that remains consistent about the scene along La Croisette is the LBB & Friends Beach, which brings together people from all over the global ad industry. And with everyone on the beach eager to network, meet new contacts and celebrate with old friends, you’ll find a friendly and festive atmosphere. “Cannes Lions has grown massively,” says Sarah, “and the LBB Beach is an important part of the event for many. If you are travelling solo, or part of a small team trying to make a big impact, access to the LBB Beach is incredibly valuable.”
As ever, Little Black Book will be joined by a group of fantastic sponsors whose support of the Beach means that this annual institution can return. We’ll be introducing all the sponsors to you over the coming months. Please make a point of reaching out to them ahead of Cannes, or find them on the beach in June.
Whether this is your first year at Cannes Lions, or 50th, it’s an overwhelming experience with much seemingly happening simultaneously at the Palais des Festivals, and up and down the coast and into the hills. The LBB Beach provides a space where you can find all the people you need to meet.
