Little Black Book has unveiled its League Table of Creativity rankings, with Landia Mexico ranking as the #1 production company in LATAM in 2024.
The League Table of Creativity is powered by The Immortal Awards, with every single entry into the competition scoring points. Points are attributed to all entrant companies and any credited companies which are members of LBB.
“It’s a meaningful recognition that highlights our consistent commitment to creative excellence and collaboration with the best agencies and clients in the region,” said Thomas Amoedo, managing partner and executive producer at Landia Mexico. “It also fuels the team’s energy and helps us to keep our focus on what really matters: the craft, building new talent and nurturing the right relationships.”
Landia Mexico has come out on top in LATAM this year thanks, in part, to its Commendation-earning work ‘This Is Not a Game’ for Telefonica Movistar. The film promoted the creation of safer environments for gamers, mimicking the visual style and interface of popular video games.
"This is Not A Game powerfully resonated because it blended storytelling, digital craft and purpose-driven communication in a unique way,” said Thomas. “It effectively immersed audiences in an experience that blurred the line between reality and gaming, generating empathy and deep engagement. I’m especially proud of this project for the technical and narrative challenges we overcame, and the meaningful dialogue it sparked around an urgent social issue.”
Another project that scored points for Landia Mexico was the LATAM finalist project ‘¡Suerte!’ for Apple. The piece was part of the brand’s ‘Shot on iPhone’ series and was a hybrid of film and music video, telling the story of a young musician overcoming their creative block using a culturally relevant Mexican element — Lotería cards.
“‘¡Suerte!’ represents the excellence we strive for in craft and authenticity,” said Thomas. “Having been trusted by Apple and [TBWA\] Media Arts Lab to collaborate on such an iconic project is an honor and a challenge at the same time. We put together some of the most talented Mexican talent in the market to bring to life such a great and special story. The success of being finalists is a special recognition that corroborates the vision we had when we first started this project.”
In the last 12 months, Landia was also named Best Production Company for Iberoamérica, Argentina and USA at the El Ojo de Iberoamérica awards, won 13 Cannes Lions, including two Gold Entertainment Lions for ‘This Is Not a Game’, and earned a Gold Pencil at the One Show for Propuesta Cívica and dentsu’s ‘The Stories That Killed Us’ campaign.
“The project thoughtfully recreated the powerful stories of journalists, handling a difficult subject with sensitivity and respect,” said Thomas. “It reinforced our dedication to projects that not only excel creatively, but also spark important conversations.”
The League Table of Creativity is a transparent ranking of the world’s creative companies, covering creative agencies through to production companies and post production houses within the LBB member base.
Furthering LBB’s mission to celebrate creativity, the League Table can be filtered to show the top-ranking companies in different countries, regions, fields and networks. Check out some of the results below or draw your own insights from the table here.
A points system has been applied to every Immortal Awards entry, all scored by 2024's ten local, six regional and one global juries.
The League Table shows how many points each company has earned, and from how many entries, demonstrating not just the total number of points won but the quality of those points. Points will be added to the table following each Immortal Awards cycle, meaning all Little Black Book members can track their ranking and amass points year-on-year.
