Estée Lauder have launched their ‘Double Wear’ campaign film, which heroes their versatile new foundation product that easily moves from day to night for 24-hours of lasting wear. Directed by New York-based filmmaker Lacey, with creative and production by Merman, the film takes us from dreamy daylight landscapes to the pulsing bright lights of downtown after dark—we join Estée Lauder models Grace Elizabeth, Karlie Kloss, and Imaan Hammam as they seamlessly transition through time, courtesy of cutting-edge VFX by Studio RM. Shot on a 360 degree sound stage, Studio RM created LED background scenery—a first of its kind for a beauty spot—in addition to fun, fast-paced VFX to bring to life an exuberant world where time never stands still.
To capture the upbeat and optimistic feeling of Lacey’s film, award-winning Studio RM colourist Jamie Noble crafted a fresh and sophisticated aesthetic, working closely with the director to ensure an honest and nuanced grade that was both true to the model’s natural skin tones, and captured the colours of the product. With 12 years of post-production expertise in the fashion, luxury and beauty space, Studio RM’s full-time team of artists are also known for their flawless finishing, lending their sensitive approach to the film to help create an elegant and elevated end-result.
