Kwittken Names Betsy Cooper Managing Director in Toronto

Kwittken, an MDC Partners Inc. agency, has announced the appointment of Betsy Cooper as Managing Director of Kwittken Toronto, its Canadian headquarters, established in late 2014 as part of its collaboration with KBS Toronto, a creatively driven global marketing agency. Kwittken also has headquarters in New York and London.

Cooper joins Kwittken Toronto with more than 15 years of experience as a strategic communications expert, leading and developing innovative media relations, social media and crisis communications strategies on both the agency and client side of the business. Most recently, Cooper led her own communications agency in Vancouver, British Columbia where she led integrated communications strategies and provided counsel to both national and multi-national corporations in the food, travel and lifestyle sectors. Cooper has also held senior positions at Labatt Breweries of Canada, Harbinger Communications and Thornley Fallis Communications.

Cooper will report to Aaron Kwittken, Global Chairman and CEO, and join the agency’s global leadership team, which includes Jason Schlossberg, Chief Creative Officer, Gabrielle Zucker, Executive Vice President and Sam Bowen, Managing Director/London.

Since expanding into Canada in October 2014, the agency has been working for several clients across the retail, financial services, food and travel sectors.
