On May 25, Korea’s hottest R&B artist, DEAN, debuted a bespoke iPhone Memoji music video live on stage during the Seoul Jazz Festival to release his new track called ‘Howlin’ 404’.
Simultaneously, the new track became available exclusively on Apple Music Korea (for a limited time). Using immersive, vintage music video elements, the film leans into DEAN’s trademark soulful, eclectic style that has allowed him to captivate fans around the world.
With the release of this latest Memoji music video, Apple continues to entertain music fans in Korea using iPhone’s cutting-edge technology. Last year, Apple teamed up with Korea’s biggest indie band, Hyukoh, to create a one-of-a-kind Animoji music video that also premiered at the Seoul Jazz Festival.
Now with iPhone’s Memoji feature, users have the ability to personalise their own animated avatar which provides a whole new level of personalisation and creativity.
DEAN’s Memoji music video also made its television debut the same day during the live broadcast of the Seoul Jazz Festival. At the festival, Apple Music launched an animated film featuring South Korean rapper, Ravi, as well as animated digital OOH playing during intermission between acts.
