The Karma Communications Group, the UK’s fastest growing independent integrated marketing communications group, has today announced the acquisition of Grape Digital, one of London’s UK’s leading independent social media communications agencies.
Grape was founded by Mark Malone four years ago, with Creative Director Joe Holt joining a year later from Albion to form the management team. Since their start in early 2009 as one of the very first Social Media Agencies, Grape have worked for a wide range of blue chip clients including Live Nation, Agent Provocateur, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, LinkedIn, Samsung, Southern Comfort and Tesco.
Grape Digital has already been working closely with Karma Communication Group agencies Karmarama and Kaper on a number of joint clients and new business opportunities and its nine strong team will be moving into the group’s offices in Farringdon on 10th June. It is envisaged that shortly after that date the business will be re-brand within the group structure.
Commenting on the news Ben Bilboul, Chief Executive of the Karma Communications Group said: “It’s a real pleasure to welcome Mark, Joe and the team to Farringdon Road. Their understanding of social media is second to none and they share our ambition to significantly raise the quality of work in this space. Importantly we’ll be putting them right at the heart of our business, to integrate a social perspective further into everything we do, whether it’s advertising, PR, branded content or CRM.”
Mark Malone, Managing Director of Grape added: “The moment we first walked through the door of Karma’s offices we knew we had found the perfect home for our business. The Karma Comms’ culture of innovation, excellence and independence is compelling - and we just can’t wait to be working more closely with our many new colleagues at Karmarama and Kaper.”
