Just in time for Halloween, Jung von Matt Creators has released ‘Nosferaboo,’ an AI-powered image generator that brings Halloween spookiness to life - while also showcasing how AI can be creatively applied in brand communications.
Jung von Matt Creators, the JvM agency specialising in AI, is behind innovations like the AI model Stables. The team’s latest AI drop, Nosferaboo, is a digital AI solution for creating amazing costumes. It uses AI to transform users' selfies into something considerably spookier, perfect for anyone wanting to join the Halloween fun digitally without dressing up.
Nosferaboo utilises the JvM agency’s self-developed AI tool Stables, which builds on 30 years of creative excellence within the agency group.
The inspiration behind Nosferaboo comes from the iconic horror film Nosferatu – A Symphony of Horror, set for a remake in early 2025, over 100 years after its original release.
One of the first horror films ever made, Nosferatu is famous for its eerie aesthetic and the tormented figure of Count Orlok, who is often seen as the archetype of modern vampire and horror films.
Nosferaboo generates a range of spooky selfies in seconds, transforming users into witches, gargoyles, or classic vampires. One thing that’s always present: Nosferatu's iconic fangs - perfect for more than just sucking blood, they define his unmistakable look.
With Nosferaboo, Stables combines two AI tools for image generation. ‘Flux Schnell’ from Black Forest Labs provides the spooky style and character, while ‘Stable Diffusion XL’ from Stability AI incorporates the previous results into a frightening scene, delivering personalised Nosferaboo selfies.
The goal is to flood LinkedIn with Halloween-themed images once again, following last year’s success with ‘Photo Boo,’ which generated over 40,000 spooky images on the platform.
Nosferaboo is the fourth AI drop from Jung von Matt Creators. The agency uses these drops as passion projects, experimenting with AI’s potential outside of client work, demonstrating real-life use cases for brands.
Stables supports the entire agency team - from project management to art direction and concept creation - while protecting privacy, intellectual property, and client data.
Robert Andersen, managing creative director at Jung von Matt Creators, states, "Innovation is about action. With AI Drops like Nosferaboo, we’re not just talking about new technology; we’re applying it. These experiments help businesses quickly discover GenAI use cases and benefit from rapid AI advancements.”
“We consistently see how much curiosity and potential AI interaction holds during our tech demos,” adds Christoph Weiß, managing director at Jung von Matt Creators.
“Our first AI Drop, ‘Photo Boo,’ inspired tens of thousands to participate, while ‘Mansplainer – for men only,’ gave thousands of men a perspective shift on International Women’s Day. Most recently, we developed ‘isi for LinkedIn,’ a Chrome plugin promoting accessible communication. Thanks to Stables, this experimental approach is not only data-friendly for AI Drops but also ensures compliance in day-to-day automation projects."
