Chris Bristow's latest spot for Mentos leads viewers through an enchanting fruit tunnel, blending incredible mixed media with some serious summer colours.
Chris had this to say about the film: “I wanted to keep the worlds graphic and interesting. It was important to not go with my first instinct and create castles and dragons out of pineapples or something - I wanted to travel to lots of different fruits in 15 seconds, so it needed to stay graphic. So I looked towards a more motion graphics approach to the VFX. The costumes needed to be silly and cool - like the best festival outfits mixed with a high fashion energy. To shoot it required a lot of pre-viz, so I pretty much jumped straight on that as my main port of call, and composed a temp track to get a sense of where I wanted transitions and an overall sense of pace. This was super important for the crew on a blue screen shoot, so we’re all on the same page and I’m not just holding it all in my head!”
