Jordans Punks up the World of Cereal with New Campaign

Jordans has launched a new campaign designed to shake up the world of cereal.

Channelling Jordans’ rebellious and pioneering spirit, and their status as leaders and innovators in the market (having developed the UK’s first, natural, golden cluster Granola in 1972), the campaign makes a break from traditional cereal advertising and establishes Jordans as ‘the rebels of the cereal aisle’.

Created by Havas London, the campaign includes a hero 20 second film, which sees ice guns freeze-drying strawberries for Country Crisp, and a fire breather popping oats for Jordans’ newest offering – delicious Popped Oat Crunch. All signed off by a new endline 'Bursting with Bite' – voiced by none other than the rasping cockney tones of Phil Daniels, of Parklife and Quadrophenia fame. 

The spot was by directed by Portuguese duo Martians, with Push Films. It was shot in Lisbon at the Tejo Power Station at MAAT.

Craig Turner, head of brand, Jordans Dorset Ryvita said, ‘’Since 1972, Jordans has been challenging the status quo in the cereal market. We wanted that energy and our rebellious and pioneering spirit to shine through in our latest campaign. With the help of Havas London, it does just that.’’

Vicki Maguire, chief creative officer, Havas London added, ‘’ When you think of Jordans, Punks don’t tend to spring to mind. Well, until now. We’re channelling Jordans’ rebellious spirit in our latest campaign, and making’ em the original punks of the cereal category.’’
