Jim has worked with brands including Adidas, Nike, Reebok, BMW, Volvo, Sony, Rolex, HSBC and Barclays Bank

The award-winning multi-media, CGI and VFX director began his career as an editor working with the likes of Ridley Scott, Oliver Stone, Johnathon Glazier and Jake Scott to name a few. In fact it was Sir Ridley who suggested he should move into directing. It wasn’t long before he was racking up awards like the prestigious BBC New Directors Award, D&AD pencils and BTA Arrows for brands such as Adidas, Nike, Reebok, BMW, Volvo, Sony, Rolex, HSBC, Barclays Bank and many more.

In 2015 he directed his first feature called 'Sword of Vengeance', following that he was brought on board by Scott Free to work on the television series Taboo, starring Tom Hardy.

His charity work has also generated a huge amount of reaction and benefited such charities as The Motor Neurone Association, Combat Stress, Changing Faces, UNICEF and many more. In fact his MNDA film ‘Sarah’s Story’ created unprecedented exposure on such an insidious disease, so much so it was banned by the BBC for its uncompromising storytelling.

Jim’s broadcast and commercial work was recently followed up with his Virtual Reality experience for Fanta The 13th Floor which won Gold at the Media Week Awards UK. Then another Gold at Promax UK for outstanding brand identity in television marketing for his SKY Witness Channel idents. Jim has also just completed a landmark campaign for GSK which involved AI learning to help create various children’s faces built out of millions of particles in it’s own unique universe.

His second feature film ‘Venom of the Muse’ which is due to start production next year and he has recently written two television projects, the first a Sci-fi series called Ascension Kode which is out to Paramount and a period drama named Fallen Kingdom which has been picked up and is currently with Disney +.

Of joining the Johnny Foreigner roster, Jim says, "Olivia made it a no brainer in regards to joining their roster. Both are highly regarded in the advertising community for their values and commitment to producing highly level content. Their enthusiasm for my work and the opportunity to target well crafted campaigns that will truly benefit my talents as a visually driven director is a proposition I couldn’t refuse. I am truly looking forward to our next steps."

Olivia Hirschberg added ‘I have known Jim for many years and know well his talents in crafting beautifully realised CGI and VFX, but what I also find is his ability to develop and deliver remarkably strong performances and characterisations within the worlds he builds.

There is barely a week that goes by where we don’t get asked for a combination of live action and CGI. Jim is a perfect fit for us.’
