Johnny Foreigner Signs Marysue Masson

The unstoppable comedy force that is Marysue Masson has landed at Johnny Foreigner and they couldn’t be more excited!!

Director's agent, Anna Allgrove commented, “I’ve been a huge fan of Marysue for many years.  Her ability to find comedic nuance in any brief is something to behold, as are the performances she garners, whether it’s from actors, celebs or real people. Her work has always stood out for me and I’m still laughing at Haribo ‘Rugby’ years after it first aired…”

Since her original Haribo 'Boardroom' spot, the campaign has gone global, and been a huge success for the brand. Marysue has gone on to win multiple awards, most recently at Cannes and D&AD for her groundbreaking campaign for Breast Cancer Now, ‘The Chat’.  The series was the first group chat drama series of its kind in the UK, which is reflective or her work not just as a director but as an innovator.  Her comedy spot for FLO ‘Period Drama’ won the Grand Prix £1m prize of the Sky Zero Footprint Fund and her short film ‘Who’s the Daddy’ has been picked up by Disney+ and is now streaming on the platform.

But more about her commercial work…..Marysue has directed campaigns for the likes of Microsoft, Wowcher, BT, Nokia, Barclays and more!  She’s captured Katherine Ryan on a quad bike, the envious look of a jealous feline and worked with big named footballers. There’s little that Marysue can’t get her comedy chops into.
