Johannes Leonardo announced today the appointment of Ben Myers as head of business development. He will report to President Bryan Yasko. In his role, Myers will be tasked with building out the agency’s offerings for brands who value long lasting brand solutions for their modern marketing challenges.
He joins Johannes Leonardo on the heels of tremendous momentum for the agency, which recently received recognition of #4 on the 2018 Ad Age A-List and third most effective independent agency at the 2018 North American Effies, as well as recently added EA Sports and Amazon to its roster.
Myers’ 16-year career to date has been spent working at some of the world’s best agencies and with clients across a variety of categories. In working with brands like GE, Bank of America, GameStop, HBO, The Patron Spirits Company, Blizzard Entertainment, Motorola, Red Lobster, and Pizza Hut among others give him the depth of experience needed to accelerate the already impressive growth JL has been experiencing over the past 2 years.
“When meeting with Jan, Leo, Bryan, and the rest of the management team at JL, I immediately felt their values and approach to creative problem-solving was in complete alignment with what I believe is necessary for building successful brands in today’s environment. In my new role I look forward to sharing the agency’s passion for generating transformative brand ideas with future partners and helping Johannes Leonardo to reach its full potential,” Myers says.
Myers joins JL from Droga5 where he spent over five years in account management and worked with the new business team on several pitches. Prior to Droga5 he worked at BBDO New York and The Richards Group in Dallas.
“After a very long search, it was clear to me that there was no better person than Ben to spearhead our business development efforts,” Yasko notes. “His experience in galvanizing growth on some of the world’s most iconic brands has given him crucial insights into the challenges clients face today.”
