James Nesbitt stars as a hapless holidaymaker in a new TV campaign for Thomas Cook, created by Havas Worldwide London.
The ‘Cold Feet’ and ‘The Hobbit’ actor appears in three different ads that explain why Thomas Cook has the expertise and experience to ensure that families get the perfect holiday experience.
The ads were directed by Full Monty director Peter Cattaneo and shot in Lanzarote. They show Nesbitt finding himself in humorous situations such as trying to exchange money with a market man who sells cheese and ending up in the wrong hotel room
The campaign promotes Thomas Cook’s Aquamania family resorts, romantic holiday breaks for couples, and the Thomas Cook Travel Money foreign exchange service.
The campaign, which consists of three executions “Trunks”, “Room” and “Exchange”, breaks on Saturday June 1st.
Say Russ Lidstone, CEO, Havas Worldwide London: “'After working to support the Thomas Cook business through its recent challenges, we're proud to sign off with brand building work that highlights the product and service benefits.'
The TV advertising is supported by radio advertising and point-of-sale and will run throughout the summer and autumn.
The ads were created by Russell Schaller at Havas Worldwide London.
