Director Kiran Koshy has directed a new witty spot to raise awareness of prostate cancer and remind men to check their prostates.
The prostate gland is a male reproductive organ whose main function is to secrete prostate fluid. Kiran and a few friends were discussing a recent study on prostate health, which then led to a creative challenge. They soon found themselves creating a seemingly never-ending list of new nicknames for semen: a text chain of Euphejisms.
Terms like Lust Custard, Motion Lotion, Yank Yolk, Ovary Oil, Fappuccino, Honorable Discharge, Gene Gumbo, Fap Sap, Womb Raiders, and Brogurt quickly emerged and resulted in an idea to raise awareness of prostate health. The foursome thought it would make perfect sense from the male perspective to appeal to the male sense of humor and ageless obsession with their boy parts functionality.
Kiran thus decided to publish a book titled Euphejisms, A Glossary of Sperminology, a light-hearted bathroom-style book available for purchase on Etsy. Accompanying the book is a website and the PSA featuring a scholarly narrator that reads from the book as he casually walks through a manicured park and reads the absurd synonyms, occasionally pausing for impact and emphasis on the euphejism he is reciting.
Kiran shot the entire spot pro bono using the help of a student crew that he teaches at his alma mater, Texas A&M Commerce. One in nine men will face prostate cancer during their lifetime. Contrary to the belief by some cultures that men should not "spill their seed," new studies show that more frequent ejaculation can actually reduce your chances of developing prostate cancer especially in men over the age of 50.
100% of profits from the book will be donated to Prostate cancer research. Kiran strategically released the new work in June during Men’s Health Month. Kiran is represented exclusively by SlashDynamic.
