Arketype announces its arrival as a bold new contender in the world of high-end post-production, carving out a fresh path both in Canada and on the global stage

Arketype has announced its arrival as a bold new contender in the world of high-end post-production, carving out a fresh path both in Canada and on the global stage. With one full year under its belt, 2024 got to kick off strong with collaborations alongside; Moncler x Wesayhi, Fila x Division Paris, and Rove Concepts w/ John Legend to name a few.

A New Vision for a Changing Landscape

Founded by a team of like-minded creatives, Arketype was born out of a shared vision to reimagine how studios connect clients and talent. Identifying a gap in the industry where oversized, outdated structures often create barriers, Arketype offers a more direct and collaborative approach. Designed to break the mold, this boutique studio cultivates closer relationships between creators and brands, resulting in stronger, more impactful work.

Driving the studio forward is executive producer and managing director Chantelle Blagrove, whose leadership and expertise helped establish Studio Feather’s Colour Department as a recognised name in Toronto. She leads the Arketype team alongside senior producer Mathieu Taggart (formerly of Mathematic) making for a dynamic duo that knows how to bring creative visions to life. With deep industry experience and a hands-on approach, they work closely with clients locally and globally, guiding projects from start to finish with a sharp eye for excellence and innovation.

Chantelle Blagrove said, “Too many times, Canada gets overlooked in the landscape of high-end commercial finishing. Montreal naturally is a creative city, and with the pace of ads, post-production can often feel like an afterthought. After meeting co-founder and senior colourist, Simon Boissonneaux alongside Charles-Étienne (Chuck) Pascal, leading the colour department and creative on the ground, I was excited by the idea to run with a local team that had an international look. Our talent is not only highly specialised but agile, we are constantly adapting to the ever-changing demands of modern timelines and creative ambitions.”

A World-Class Studio with Montreal roots

Based in the vibrant creative hub of Montreal – A talent-first boutique on the international stage with borderless remote capabilities, Arketype embodies the craft of each one of its artists through world-class talent & a better collaboration approach between brands and artists.
