Heckler Singapore Snares Sam Schwier for CG Lead Role
With over 18 years’ worth of experience in the VFX industry, Sam Schwier joins Heckler from his most recent posting as Generalist Supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic Singapore, where he was Lead on the VES winning series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Prior to that, Sam moved from London to Asia in 2008 to help set up the Double Negative Singapore office, hiring and training over 100 local and foreign staff. Here, he worked for nine years in roles including Generalist and 3D Sequence Lead, before becoming CG Supervisor.
Passionate about creating photorealistic visual effects that wow audiences and bring the magic of movies to life, Sam has worked on an impressive line-up of blockbusters, including iconic series Star Wars, The Avengers and Harry Potter, and in various capacities: from character look development to leading teams to months on set and on location.
Commenting on his new role with Heckler Singapore, Sam is excited to join the team and to work alongside the award-winning studio’s top tier talent.
