To highlight the fact that Creme Eggs are only available until 31st March, Cadbury is inviting fans to ‘Have a fling’ with one while they still can. And now, as Valentine’s Day approaches, Elvis has developed ‘Cling to your Fling’ on Facebook, to help people remember their flings in style.
After a long wait since last Easter, consumers can finally get their hands on Creme Eggs again. But as Creme Eggs are only here for a good time, not a long time, Cadbury are encouraging fans to ‘have a fling’ with these limited edition treats.
Cadbury Creme Egg mania is sweeping the nation on facebook.com/cadburycremeegg. They can also see how people’s ‘flings’ are playing out across the nation. And now, for the most romantic day of the year, they can remember their flings forever, winning exclusive love mementos via the Cling to Your Fling competition.
The competition where fans can win a personalised friendship band, mug and commemorative plate launches today, just in time for the most romantic time of the year – Valentine’s Day. Consumers can enter the competition to win these keepsakes by uploading a romantic photo of themselves and their egg to the bespoke Facebook app. They can then manipulate it in the frame to look their best with their egg, to be shared on their Facebook wall and submitted into the draw.
So far, the campaign has achieved a huge Facebook page reach of 100m people, and an average of 47,000 engaged users per post. This campaign is almost 3,000% more successful than 2012’s, in terms of engagement year to date. The social media campaign forms part of an integrated brand campaign that also includes new TVC’s created by Fallon.
This is the first work for Mondelez International by Elvis since winning the account in November. They also work some of the UK’s other largest consumer brands, including Sky, Honda and Virgin Trains.
