Holiday Films have announced that director Greg Brunkalla has joined their roster for Canadian representation.
Award-winning director Greg Brunkalla has an innovative approach to his work, one that blurs the lines between the worlds of reality and fiction. He shot his first commercial in 2004, and has since helmed commercial films for clients including Coca Cola, Nike, Sony, Ford, Target, T-Mobile, Kia, Diesel, W Magazine and The New York Times.
In 2009, Greg received a Young Guns Award from the Art Directors Club of New York. That same year, he founded a new media company with industry counterparts called Legs, based out of Milk Studios in NYC. Legs was the collective behind the Target Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular in 2010, a live fashion show that took over the side of the Standard Hotel in New York. Involved in creating the initial concept for the event with Mother New York, Greg directed the multi-camera shoot of the show. It went on to win several awards including, TED's ‘Ads Worth Spreading’ award and a Gold Lion at Cannes in the Stunts & Live Advertising category.
Greg's series of intimate celebrity interviews for The New York Times Style Magazine entitled "Screen Tests" has earned three Emmy nominations and a 2012 Webby Award. His short documentary about LA street dancers for Coke Zero’s ‘Make It Possible’ campaign won a Silver Lion in the Branded Content category at Cannes 2012.
Greg’s most recent work is an epic and fun spot for Cadbury, entitled ‘Pinata’ out of Ogilvy Toronto, shot with Holiday Films in South Africa. View it below:
“Working with Greg on this job was an amazing creative and collaborative process,” says Josefina Nadurata, Executive Producer, Holiday Films. “He constantly thought of ways to push ideas and empowered everyone around him to do the same. It was a true team effort. We are so pleased to represent Greg in our market, he offers up a great mix of conceptual creative and technical talent and you can’t help but like him – he puts everyone at ease and loves what he does."
Other recent work includes a music video for Coca Cola Zero, a live event-turned-commercial version of Angry Birds for T-Mobile out of Saatchi & Saatchi London, and an interactive installation for Nike's Fuelband.
Greg resides in Brooklyn and is represented by Skunk in the US, by Stink in the UK, and by Holiday Films in Canada.
