Comic relief today launches a short film ‘Wise Words’ which will feature on UK TV as well as on social media.
‘Wise Words’ is a heart-warming film that highlights the power of human nature and celebrates the charitable spirit of the British public in spite of challenging times in the country. In over 30 years of Comic Relief, the public has always donated to causes they care about in the UK and abroad. The film, featuring actor Peter Mullan, shows a grandfather passing on some wise words to his beloved grandchild, reflecting upon how the things we have in common are much stronger than those that divide us.
This is the first creative work to be released by Wonderhood Studios. Aidan McClure, chief creative officer of Wonderhood Studios, said: “Our ambition is to create content that contributes to culture rather than just interrupting it. We’re proud that our first piece of work is in this space and part of an important conversation.”
Bill Griffin, executive director of creative and brand, Comic Relief, said: “In these turbulent times, Comic Relief has an important role to remind the nation that we are more united than we’re led to believe. We are delighted to partner with Wonderhood to deliver this message in a really fresh way.”
