GPN shares its newest venture: GPN Entertainment. After successfully launching its Tabletop division and welcoming VTR studios into its network, this new venture represents the next step in GPN's mission to offer industry-leading production solutions.
This new division connects 20 award-winning production companies that have already made waves in the industry, producing and service producing high-end live reality shows, scripted and non-scripted content, and even some of Hollywood’s most iconic films- Mission Impossible, Snowden, the Last King of Scotland, Lara Croft, Her and House of Gucci, to name just a few. Now, GPN are extending that expertise to long-format content, with the goal of making every producer’s life easier when it comes to shooting abroad and finding the perfect partners for their projects.
GPN Entertainment was a vision Julia had even before covid, and now, after several years of preparation, GPN is ready to make it a reality. Leading this exciting new chapter for GPN is none other than its long-term partner from Iceland, Rafnar Hermannsson, owner of Frostfilm. Rafnar has always been a trusted figure within GPN, and producers frequently turn to him for advice when planning shoots abroad, knowing that they can rely on his experience and deep industry knowledge.
Rafnar will be connecting with streamers, producers, clients and more. He’ll be introducing GPN Entertainment to a wider audience, highlighting how its close-knit network of top industry professionals can help simplify the complex world of long-format production.
Rafnar himself has been involved with GPN for the past 18 years. He was first with Iceland’s True North and then founded Frostfilm in 2019 and continued his partnership with GPN. Iceland has a steady stream of everything film-related: commercials, TV shows, feature films, documentaries, music videos, and even independent photography. Rafnar has been involved in all of this and more. His film career spans over twenty years and he has worked with top directors and actors in both long format and commercials. He knows firsthand how to pitch a project and understands the unique advantages that GPN brings to international productions. His expertise is crucial in positioning GPN Entertainment as the go-to partner for long-format production worldwide.
GPN couldn’t be more excited about this next step. It has been a leader in production service for many years, and now, with Rafnar paving the way, GPN Entertainment will take it to the next level. The possibilities, projects, and immeasurable creativity that this new division of GPN will open up for all of the team are limitless and its thrilled to have Rafnar leading this exciting new venture.
