Introducing Legwork, a Denver-based, independent creative studio combining animation and technology to create memorable stories and experiences for advertising, entertainment and education. The leadership team consists of Joey Bullock, Chris Grey, Aaron Ray and Matt Wiggins—all old friends who met through shared interests in skateboarding, snowboarding, music and enjoying the finer things of life (read: beer) in Denver.
Legwork is well known for the level of detail they bring to each project that they take on. This is evident in their recent work on the opening titles and motion graphic sequences for a branded entertainment documentary featuring New Belgium’s hemp-based beer The Hemperor. They led the design, illustration and animation of each sequence, bringing their personal style to the project.
Legwork started in a basement as a design studio back in 2007 with only concept of what was to come. Today, this highly innovative animation and interactive studio is working with brands and agencies from all over the world and has expanded so much it’s moving next month to a 3300-square-foot space in Denver’s prevalent RiNo Art District.
Other 2018 client projects include:
Capital One: Legwork created, in collaboration with DDB Chicago, two recent games that have been getting a lot of traffic. The Legwork team designed, created and illustrated the project.
Cobra Golf: Legwork produced and directed two TV spots and a series of digital assets for the new line of King F8 golf clubs. The spots feature top athletes and Puma pros Ricky Fowler and Bryson Dechambeau.
YouTube: For the past 2 years, Legwork has worked with YouTube to create the videos series View in 2 that discusses cultural and emerging trends on the video-sharing platform. Legwork leads all art direction, illustration, and motion development. YouTube is in the process of adding a website section for the View in 2 series and Legwork is in charge of organizing it.
Yeti Cycles: Legwork finished the design on the bikes section of the Yeti Cycles’ website. Currently, the Legwork team is moving into development on this project with a targeted launch date of mid to late summer. In addition, other parts of the site will be refreshed with this launch.
The Legwork leadership team is also unequivocally committed to social impact through charitable work. They have done animated work for, and have volunteered cooking lunch at Urban Peak, a non-profit organization that provides essential services to homeless and at-risk youth in Denver.
