In this new episode of Gerety Talks, three chief strategy officers from different agencies discuss the importance of both creativity and strategy in advertising. They agree that strategy is crucial for driving business growth and emphasise the need for collaboration between creative and data-driven aspects and the importance of understanding human motivations in strategy planning. They encourage staying curious and open to new ideas, as well as being aware of potential biases and inequalities in technology. The importance of brand building in the digital age and the role of AI and emerging technology in society are also touched upon and as an overall message they agree that creativity and strategy must go hand in hand for effective communication and advertising, and that it's essential to learn how to use technology wisely and thoughtfully while keeping the human element in mind.

She’s a part of McCann Worldgroup Sustainability Practice and a McCann Sustainability Champion.
As chief strategy officer, Christina has been leading strategy and planning at the DDB Germany Group of Companies since May 2023. With her team, she initiates and supports all key projects from briefing to presentation in order to continuously improve output and drive business development with existing customers and prospects.The marketing expert can draw on two decades of experience in the areas of brand strategy, creative strategy and digital transformation for customers of all sizes and categories. Christina rarely wears the same outfit twice, is a passionate people manager and ambassador for DE&I. She has been a mentor at the Morus 14 student aid organisation since 2013 and accompanies her godchild Zoulikha through school, studies and life.
Stefanie Kuhnhen was chosen by W&V as one of the ‘Top 100 Personalities in Advertising & Marketing’ in the ‘Change Agents’ category and ranked as one of the ‘Top 5 Agency Women in Germany’. She was also named one of the ‘Women and Men of the Year’ by Horizont magazine. Stefanie Kuhnhen is a business administration graduate, has a master’s in international business from universities in Sydney and Hamburg and was instrumental in developing brands such as IKEA, Volkswagen, Burger King and EDEKA. In 2018 she was part of the founding team of Kokoro, whose app provides companies with feedback on team spirit and wellbeing in the workplace. Her non-fiction book ‘Das Ende der unvereinbaren Gegensätze’ (The end of irreconcilable opposites) was published by Springer. For almost 30 years now, the brand and business strategist has channelled her passion into building future-viable brands that go on to achieve lasting success.
