Under their new brand purpose ‘Helping create the home you love’, Outsider and krow London teamed up to create a new brand campaign for furniture retailer ScS.
‘The hug of home’, focuses on the symbiotic relationship when you love your home and it feels like it loves you back.
Directed by Chris Balmond the beautifully shot 30” TV advert brings to life the emotions surrounding the feeling of coming home, the warmth from when you step in the front door onto the carpet to the figurative hug you receive from sitting down on the sofa.
Jo Jephcott, creative director, krow London said, “It was a pleasure working with Chris again, through the magical surrealism and our amazing cast he really captured the feeling of walking through the door, shutting out the outside world and taking comfort in your home and your sofa.”
Calling upon the team at The Post Office for the post-production and brilliant CGI to help bring this to life, along with Suzy Davis at Final Cut for the offline edit and the team at Sightsound for the sound design.
This campaign is the first part of a wider refreshed brand strategy designed to move ScS forward, by demonstrating their purpose and justifying to new and existing customers why they’re worth buying from.
