Fergus Waddell Joins 72andSunny Europe as Head of Growth

Fergus Waddell was previously the former head of growth at Saatchi & Saatchi

72andSunny Europe has tapped Fergus Waddell, former head of growth at Saatchi & Saatchi as its new head of growth for 72andSunny Europe. Fergus, who was last year voted in the Top 5 Growth Directors by Campaign Magazine in the UK has been central to recent headline pitch wins including the pitch of the decade for John Lewis and Waitrose, Subway and Ovo, and more recently he led Saatchi's International Client roster and global growth. 

He has also played a pivotal role in Saatchi & Saatchi "Upriser" an open-sourced educational platform to help young people from different backgrounds into the creative industry and New Creators Showcase, the revamped version of Saatchi's decades old directors showcase at Cannes. Through work on Upriser, has also been a member of the IPA Talent and Diversity Leadership Group since 2022.  

Fergus will help drive 72andSunny’s growth in Europe from Amsterdam with Simone Moessinger, executive creative director, Armando Potter, head of strategy, and Gaia Rossetti, head of brand.

The new hire cements exciting momentum for 72andSunny as it continues to grow in Europe, with its provocative Feeld campaign winning the 2024 Lovie Award, its e.l.f. cosmetics campaign that launched in the Thanksgiving big game in November in the US, its latest work Zurich running across Europe, and this week's launch of a global campaign for Indeed. That, alongside recent new business wins for TikTok and Mediahuis, with more to be announced in the coming months.
