Colon cancer continues to be a growing problem and is the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Despite guidelines shifting to encourage testing at age 45 vs. 50, the rate of colon cancer-related deaths in younger Americans continues to rise.
To drive awareness for the need to get screened and in time for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month (March), FCB Health New York and Cologuard teamed up to create GoGo Cologuard – a first-of-its-kind web-based game for the category designed to raise awareness about the importance of colon cancer screening.
Reminiscent of early-era “endless runner” games, GoGo Cologuard features the Cologuard mascot who has graced our TV screens for years now taking over our mobile screens with a multi-level game where players can help him catch his truck back to the lab. During his trip, the character encounters educational messages along the way like “the age to start screening is 45” and “Colon cancer can affect all races, genders and ethnicities .”
