For eight days, from June 17-24, people from all over the world congregated in the south of France for the 64th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Creative professionals from across communications, marketing, entertainment, design and tech, were in Cannes to learn where the industry is heading and witness stand-out creative work being awarded.
Among those awarded, agencies from Canada received 44 coveted Lions - a record number for the Country. FCB Canada topped the list of winning agencies with 10 Lions, all awarded for “Down Syndrome Answers,” making it the most-awarded Canadian creative agency at the 2017 festival. The campaign was awarded in a number of categories including Health & Wellness, Media, Creative Data, Cyber, Direct and PR. The agency was given seven shortlist nods for Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation, Drug Free Kids Canada and the Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
