Activision have remastered two critically acclaimed classics with Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2. The new up to date versions of the game will boast current gen graphics with the option to switch between the remastered versions and the old classic style. The remastered versions will be a refreshing yet nostalgic trip down memory lane for gamers, while appealing to a newer audience.
HELO director Jeff Tremaine, creator of another early millennium classic, the MTV show, ‘Jackass,’ tapped into what made the original franchise so fun, the sense that anyone could become a pro skater like Mr Hawk. In Skate Dad, an overly confident father empties a pool and tells his kids that he’s going to do a 900 - that’s a 900-degree aerial spin - Hawk’s record-setting maneuverer, while his kids wisely question his abilities. Right on cue, dad gets on his board and promptly faceplants on the concrete.
Tony makes a cameo appearance in Mail Carrier, which follows the pattern of an overconfident player crashing, but this time the postal carrier flexes up on Tony before tumbling.
