The Emerging Director Awards (EDA), a collaboration between ICAD and CPI, have announced a special program of events to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the awards.
Over the past 10 years, the EDA’s has become the preeminent event for recognising, rewarding and creating opportunity for emerging directors, cinematographers, editors, and producers. The awards acknowledge the challenges of breaking through in a highly competitive field and provide a clear pathway for talent to be seen and heard.
With ongoing support from Screen Ireland, the EDAs has grown to become a day-long celebration of up-and-coming talent in Ireland's film industry, featuring panel discussions with industry experts, the screening of all shortlisted work in full and, of course, the awards themselves.
"The awards have become a defining moment for emerging directors, cinematographers, editors, and producers." said Rachel Murray of the EDA Committee. "This 10th-anniversary event is not only a celebration of the incredible talent we've seen over the years but also an investment in the future of Irish filmmaking."
The EDAs are also a proven opportunity for emerging filmmakers to connect with industry leaders and established professionals.
The 10th-anniversary celebration will take place on the 8th of May at the Light House Cinema. For more information visit EDAs website, tickets are now available for purchase here. Early booking is recommended as seats are limited.
