The award-winning executive’s arrival strengthens Edelman’s commitment to delivering meaningful creative that positively impacts society

Edelman has named Natalia Benincasa chief creative officer for Latin America, effective immediately. Recognised as one of the most outstanding creative leaders in the region, and hand-selected by Edelman’s global chief creative officer, Judy John, herself, Benincasa will be based in Buenos Aires and will be responsible for leading, developing and integrating a talented community of creatives across Edelman’s offices in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

Natalia’s arrival to Edelman Latin America signifies progress for creative leadership across the region, where executive positions in creative industries have long been male-dominated, with very few leadership roles going to women. As for Edelman itself, Natalia’s addition to the LATAM executive team is key for the continuous work and weight the agency puts on using creativity as a way to support brands earning attention, driving action and creating connections.

“I’m thrilled to have Natalia join us as our CCO for LATAM. Her experience and culture changing work is exactly what we are building at Edelman,” commented Judy John, global chief creative officer.

“A key player in the global creative scene and latest to join our ever-growing team of disrupters in the region. Natalia’s addition will be game changing for Edelman LATAM and for the creative work we develop for our clients,” said Mariana Sanz, CEO, Latin America.

Throughout her career, Natalia has been chief creative officer at Wunderman Thompson Argentina, and a creative leader in agencies such as FCB, Leo Burnett Mexico, VegaOlmosPonce, and BBDO, among others. Natalia has been a constant advocate for diversity and inclusion during her career, which has positively impacted the creative industry in the region.

Last year, she is one of the most awarded CCOs in Latin America, with her work being recognized by the main creative festivals around the world, including the 2021 Innovation Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity; Natalia was recently named Argentina’s Creative of the Year 2021, and was ranked among the top 25 Global Chief Creative Officers by The One Show in 2022.

“I’m thrilled to be joining an environment that understands the power of creativity in a world that constantly needs ideas for making positive social and cultural impact. I’m a strong believer that brands have a fundamental role in generating meaningful conversations and Edelman has a legacy in making those conversations bolder,” said Benincasa.
