This Christmas Day, NerdWallet gave consumers the gift of tools and resources that are essential to making smart financial decisions. This gift couldn’t come at a better time because according to a new online NerdWallet survey conducted online by *The Harris Poll, 86% of Americans say there is some financial action they wish they would’ve taken sooner in life.
Created in partnership with Deutsch LA, 'Don’t Make Future You Hate You,' is the latest campaign from NerdWallet. The 'Future You' spot was brought to life by director Jim Jenkins, consumers are transported to a vision of 2074, when millennials and gen z'ers will make up the elderly population. The ensemble cast, which includes Jury Duty’s Susan Berger and Community’s Patricia Belcher, uses a tongue-in-cheek musical theatre style format to share some of their financial regrets - intentionally exaggerated - to illustrate the opportunity that’s left on the table by not making the smartest financial decisions earlier in life.
The spot aired on December 25th during the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs VS Las Vegas Raiders game and during two NBA games, Philadelphia 76ers VS Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets VS Golden State Warriors. It will continue to run across broadcast, OTT digital and social channels.
