Arnold has launched its latest campaign for Toast, the digital technology platform purpose-built for hospitality. In a new short film, Toast teamed up with star of The Bear and Toast customer Matty Matheson to celebrate the little details restaurants focus on to make for magical dining experiences.
'One of Those Nights,' captures a particularly demanding evening, staged at one iconic restaurant. The film is part of 'It’s the Little Things' a campaign developed in partnership with Arnold that puts Toast technology to the test and shines a light on the often-overlooked moments that make a restaurant truly shine.
In the film, Toast sent wave after wave of challenging orderers into one of NYC’s top restaurants, Marea, during the dinner rush. From fad dieters to 'Level 5' vegans, and even Matty Matheson requesting a visit to the kitchen himself to throw a wrench in things - unknowing staff was faced with complex, custom orders during peak service, testing their ability to keep operations running smoothly. With Toast’s platform in place – and the cameras running during what everyone thought was a product demo video filming – the restaurant’s staff was able to navigate every challenging order with ease, and even some laughs, proving that when a million things could go wrong, Toast helps ensure everything goes right.
'One of Those Nights' was captured as an online video (longform and :30) and :15 cut-downs to run on YouTube, Meta and TikTok. There's also a fun :30 spot called 'Risotto Bros' starring Matheson and Ricky Staffieri (also from The Bear).
