After a year of Taco Bell fans pining for the return of the beloved menu item, the wait is finally over. 

Doja Cat, the voice of the Taco Bell people, just used the biggest moment in music culture to announce the return of her most beloved Taco bell product. Following months of playful banter via social media, starring in and leaking their Super Bowl commercial, and writing a Mexican Pizza “contractual jingle”-- all culminated in an epic mic-drop moment at Coachella this past weekend. Making it abundantly clear to fans and the world, that everything Doja did has all been in service of successfully convincing Taco Bell to bring the Mexican Pizza back.

While fans of the brand were equally vocal garnering over 200K+ signatures on a Change.Org petition, the anticipation surrounding the potential return of the Mexican Pizza sparked a one-of-a-kind partnership between the Doja Cat and Taco Bell. Organic in nature, the two teamed up with creative agency, Deutsch LA, to create the ultimate anti-hero narrative, building moment on moment, that led up to the ultimate announcement. The enticing dialogue put fans at the center of the rollout, amplifying the speculation and the demand.

Fans can order their Mexican Pizza on the app beginning May 19 as a permanent item on its menu.
