CZAR's Alex Orma Wins Best Rock Video - Newcomer at UKMVA 2022

Up and coming CZAR director Alex Orma went to London last night to collect his prize in person at the UK Music Video Awards 2022. He was able to snatch first place in category Best Rock Video - Newcomer with his captivating promo for La Jungle produced by CZAR .

The film starts with a bad cough and turns into uncontrollable, zombie-like spasms.

Alex references a mysterious event set in the 16th century. A virus causing people to dance non-stop until they eventually die from exhaustion. Much like La Jungle’s track, the rhythm settles very quickly in the brain of the listener and brings them into this frantic state.

The clip also pays tribute to the urban patchwork that is Brussels. Its decrepit neon-lit alleys, populated by all sorts of different cultures are the inspiration for the set. The visual language is inspired by documentary cinema with very little machinery, natural light and a hand-held camera to obtain a raw image that makes an incoherent universe realistic.
