Noted Editors Dan Maloney and Graham Turner Join the Fold

Cut+Run has signed two editors, Graham Turner in Los Angeles Dan Maloney in New York. Both editors are available to work via any Cut+Run location: Los Angeles, New York, London and Hong Kong, as well as on location.

“Graham and Dan are exciting additions to the Cut+Run roster of talent,” notes Cut+Run’s US Managing Director Michelle Burke. “Both bring a bright passionate energy to our family. Their work stylistically complements our creative offerings and allows us to continue to grow our company strategically. We see a strong future together.”

Graham Turner loves to push to new levels of creativity. What makes him tick comes through in his work. From the irreverent, game-changing K-Swiss campaign starring Kenny Powers, to the beautiful “Chosen” action spot for Nike directed by Lance Acord, and the wry Audi “Riot Suppressor” spot directed by Bryan Buckley. His authentic connection to skate and snowboard sport and culture, new music scenes, and riding his classic motorcycle all inform his work. Breaking boundaries, challenging the traditional approach to storytelling and a deep passion for editing come through plainly in his work. See it here http://bit.ly/GrahamT

Of joining Cut+ Run, he says: “The company has an amazing environment and is really building for the future. From the first moment, I felt welcomed into what feels like a big family, with a positive forward-thinking drive and attitude.” Turner joined Cut + Run after six years at Final Cut and just over four years at Mad River.

Dan Maloney first met Cut+Run Founder Steve Gandolfi at the First Boards Awards, where Maloney, then at the Whitehouse, was lauded best editor in the 2008 competition, the same year he earned an AICE for Best Comedy Editing and a DN&A for Best Sound Design for Tide “Interview.” Maloney was an editor at Spotwelders for three years following his six years at The Whitehouse.

He comments: “Over the years I developed a friendship with a number of the editors in New York who all share a passion for editing and a camaraderie that speaks volumes about the company. I'm excited to be a part of that.” Maloney has contributed to a compelling blend of storytelling, dialogue and comedy projects that show depth and range. Among his noted commercials; Prudential “Sunrise Institutional” directed by Ringan Ledwidge, Microsoft “Drums” directed by Henrik Sundgren, Avis “The Race” directed by Speck/Gordon, State Farm “Young Driver” directed by Russ Lamoureux and Google + “Hangout Medley” directed by Casey Neistat.
