Integrated marketing agency Cubo has been appointed as one of only two agencies to sit on the off-trade marketing roster for Pernod Ricard UK as it evolves its customer marketing strategy.
The appointment, which follows a relationship spanning over 12 years, will see Cubo working across major brands such as Absolut, Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet and Beefeater, as well as new introductions to the group’s UK portfolio, including Oddka and Domecq 1820.
Leading on a wide scope of work including shopper marketing, digital activations, planning and customer marketing strategy, Cubo will be instrumental in Pernod Ricard UK’s plans to innovate the group’s premium brands in the off-trade space – bolstering consistency and efficiency across the portfolio.
Cubo’s previous work for Pernod Ricard includes a variety of on- and off-trade activations, advertising campaigns, experiential events, trade communications and ambassador programmes across 30 markets worldwide.
Chris Walmsley, co-founder and head of planning at Cubo, said: “This appointment holds many creative and strategic opportunities for Cubo, across a diverse, enviable list of brands. It’s the proud culmination of what’s been a fantastic relationship to date. We look forward to getting started, and making a contribution to Pernod Ricard UK’s brands and business.”
Dan Reuby, Customer Marketing Director at Pernod Ricard UK, said: “Cubo stood out as a strong player creatively and strategically, sharing our values and intuitively understanding our thinking, and the direction of our individual brands and customers. We are delighted to announce this appointment, and feel confident we’re putting our brands in not just competent but ambitious and talented hands.”
