Coolr Builds for the Future with New Growth Leadership Team

New roles and big hires mark the next chapter for one of the UK’s fastest-growing social agencies

Coolr, one of the fastest-growing independent UK social media agencies working with clients such as Samsung UK, Burger King and Lidl GB, has unveiled a newly formed growth team designed to take the agency to its next phase of expansion.

Following a standout year in 2024, marked by 70% growth, a team now 150 strong and securing investment with growth capital partners, Coolr has even more ambitious plans for 2025. The agency has invested in a dedicated growth team to elevate its market presence, develop relationships with more world class brands, and continue evolving its expertise to help brands win on social.

Spearheading this growth team is Karen Forbes, who has been promoted to the new position of chief growth officer, a new role for the agency.

Forbes has been instrumental in helping shape Coolr’s sales and marketing engine since joining Coolr last year and in her elevated role, will focus on building long-term client relationships and helping expand Coolr’s global presence.

Joining the team is new hire, Alannah Daniel, who takes on the newly created role of director of marketing. Previously at VaynerMedia, Daniel has experience leading client services teams, marketing and new business across various agencies; notably leading TikTok's global social AOR, 'The Culture Engine’. At Coolr, her role will help define and direct the agency's marketing strategy while supporting new business efforts as the company scales.

Fee Meynell, (formerly head of social at MG OMD and named in The Media Leader Future 100 club) takes on the role of growth director, to lead all live business and commercial opportunities at the agency. Meynell brings deep expertise in social strategy, having previously led campaigns for clients including British Airways, giffgaff, SharkNinja and Pernod Ricard.

Alannah Daniel, director of marketing at Coolr, said, “Coolr’s rapid rise and fearless creative spirit make it one of the most dynamic places in the industry right now. As their first Director of Marketing, I’ll be building on Coolr’s bold brand to help drive the next stage of growth.”
